Three solid options below. The flow is the same: search, buy, give me DNS access. Detailed steps follow for each registrar.
OVH
~7 USD/year (.fr) · ~12 USD/year (.com)
French registrar, French support, lowest price for .fr. Best fit if your business is in France.
Cloudflare Registrar
At-cost (~9-12 USD/year for .com)
No markup, lowest price on most TLDs, world-class DNS included. You need an existing Cloudflare account.
Gandi
~16 USD/year (.com)
Long-standing French registrar, English UI, transparent pricing. Solid alternative if Cloudflare isn't an option.
Option A — OVH (France)
Open the OVH Domains page
Click the link below to access the domain search page directly.
Open OVH — DomainsSearch for your domain
Type your desired name (e.g. my-business.com) in the search bar. OVH immediately shows availability and suggests alternatives.
Pick the extension
Use .com for international reach, .fr if your audience is in France, or your country TLD (.de, .es, etc.). Count around 12 USD/year for .com.
Create your OVH account
On the login page, click "Create an account". Use your professional email and save your credentials.

Add the domain to cart. Uncheck unnecessary options (hosting, OVH email, we don't need those). Validate and pay.
Only the domain name is needed. Your site is hosted elsewhere, that's part of my service.
Add me as technical contact
Open the link below to access your domain list in the OVH client area. Click your domain, then the "Contacts" tab. In the "Technical contact" column, replace the handle with mine:

Confirm it's done
Send me a message by email or WhatsApp with your registered domain. I'll receive the technical contact request on my side and start the DNS setup.
Option B — Cloudflare Registrar
Open Cloudflare Registrar
Sign in to your Cloudflare account, go to Domains > Register Domains and search for the name you want.
Check the price and register
Cloudflare charges at-cost (no markup). Add to cart and complete payment with card.
Send me API access
In Cloudflare > My Profile > API Tokens, create a token with "Zone DNS Edit" permission scoped to the new domain, then send it to me by email. I'll configure DNS to point to your site. You can revoke the token anytime.
Option C — Gandi
Open Gandi Domains
Go to gandi.net, search your domain and pick the available extension you want.
Create your account and register
Sign up with your professional email and complete the purchase. Skip Gandi hosting and email options, we don't need them.
Share DNS access
Once registered, either send me a Gandi sharing invitation with "manage DNS" permissions, or change the nameservers to mine (I'll send them to you). Both options work, your choice.
Tips
- Don't touch any DNS setting yourself, I handle it.
- Set auto-renew to avoid losing the domain (registrars send email reminders too).
- If your first choice is taken, try a country TLD or add your city.
- Avoid hyphens, they're hard to dictate over the phone.
Frequently asked questions
Which registrar should I pick?
If your business is based in France, OVH is the cheapest for .fr and offers French support. Outside France, Cloudflare Registrar is the best value (at-cost pricing). Gandi is a solid alternative if you prefer a more traditional interface.
Should I also take hosting from the registrar?
No. Your site will be hosted on Cloudflare Pages, that's part of my service. From the registrar, you only need the domain name.
How do I pick a good domain name?
Short, easy to spell over the phone, no hyphens if possible. The sweet spot: your business name followed by .com (or your country TLD).
Does the technical contact have access to my account?
No. The technical contact role only lets me manage the domain's DNS (the settings pointing to your site). I can't access your account, payment methods, or transfer the domain. You stay sole owner.
